Global Brigades offers donors and grant makers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in some of the world’s most in-need communities without any additional overhead costs.  We will match donors with volunteers already traveling to these communities to implement health and development solutions that are staffed year-round with our directors to monitor the progress of the projects.  Since our volunteer model has a built in operational margin, any donations or grants given to our international nonprofit can go straight into the community project.  For more information on how to leverage our wide-spread network of university and professional volunteers to perpetuate your health and development objectives, please contact fundraising@globalbrigades.org.

Choose a Cause to Support

Global Brigades
Every dollar goes toward the overall sustainability of our projects in Honduras and Panama.

Community Health Workers
Every dollar goes to training materials and medicines for health workers to deliver primary health services in communities without doctors. For every $100 per month, we can pay and train another health worker.

Microfinance Assistance
Every dollar goes to help back loans in community banks so that families have access to capital to advance income or farming related initiatives. An average family only earns $2 a day.

Clean Water Projects
Every dollar goes to developing water access and purification systems in villages where 90% of the population suffer from water born illnesses. A full scale project improving the water for more than 100 families can cost between $5,000 and $10,000.

Public Health Infrastructure
Every dollar goes to materials for building latrines, concrete floors and water storage units directly in the homes of community members with chronic diseases related to lack of infrastructure. One latrine costs $120 to build.

Community Development
Every dollar goes to our Architecture Brigades program, who design and build projects hand-in-hand with community members who have identified structural needs (i.e. schools, community center, housing, etc..)

Sociedad Amigos de Los Ninos Orphanage and Flor Azul Boarding School
If you’ve ever stayed at Nuevo or Flor Azul and had the pleasure of seeing these amazing and inspiring children, please consider donating to directly feed them. Sociedad spends more than $19,000 a month to feed nearly 300 children.
