RSVP for Global Brigades Day
REGISTER YOUR CAMPUS FOR THE BIGGEST GB EVENT OF 2010!
On Monday, February 8th 2010 we are asking all schools to fill classrooms full of students from all backgrounds interested in all of the GB programs…we invite all club leaders to launch this movement.
This February 8th will be the first ever Global Brigades Day and we ask you to help make this happen!
Global Brigades Day is a day when every GB club in the U.S., Canada and Europe will hold an information session about Global Brigades. All of the clubs. All on one day. On you campus, this means uniting all of your GB students across all disciplines and interests to hold at least one information session to share your passion and your stories and welcome new students into your GB club. Whether medical, microfinance, environmental, or one of our other nine GB programs, the goal is to build your GB club into a multi-disciplinary organization. A wide range of Brigades on your campus gets you closer to bringing sustainability to Central American communities.
We know it is not easy to give presentations and recruit for programs that you may not be as familiar with, so we are going to send you everything that you need to make this day happen.
February 8th is an international day to celebrate the social movement that all of YOU have created. It is a day to let the world know that students and young people from all countries are rising up to take action to meet the global challenge of poverty and disease and improve the quality of life of people in need. This is OUR future anyway, isn’t it? Most importantly, this is a day that will open the door for even more students from more backgrounds to get involved with Global Brigades and change their lives and the lives of others.
Thank you so much for all of the hard work, passion and dedication that you have already given to Global Brigades and to the students at your university and the communities where you work. What you as a club leader have done is priceless and we truly appreciate it. Let’s keep building this movement together and see how far we can take it.
